In a major development, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday morning carried out raids at 18 places in Punjab, Haryana, and UP. According to the information received, raids are being conducted at 6 places in Punjab, 3 in UP, and 9 places in Haryana. NIA also raided an upscale area of Jalandhar- Friends Colony. As of now, officials have not disclosed the exact case or nature of the investigation behind the raids.
As per information received, around 7 am, NIA teams, accompanied by local district police, reached a rented house in Friends Colony where a man has been living for an extended period. The individual is currently being questioned, and it has been learned that if he fails to cooperate with the investigation, he may be taken into custody for further interrogation.
Access to the premises has been restricted, with a heavy police presence stationed outside the house. Preliminary reports suggest that officials have recovered certain documents and digital devices, including the individual’s mobile phone, which are now under forensic examination.
It has also been revealed that the agency is verifying the man’s phone records and social connections, particularly identifying those who have been in frequent contact with him.

In Karnal, a key lead has emerged. NIA officials raided a house on Street Number 19, where it was revealed that the resident’s son currently lives in the United Kingdom. Sources claim that a financial transaction linked to an accused person based in Punjab was made from this residence, prompting the agency to extend its operation from Punjab to Haryana.
At the same time, in the town of Budlada in Mansa, the NIA has raided the house of a YouTuber, Sukhbir Singh. The NIA team searched the house for 1:30 hours as the YouTuber was not found at home. After which, the NIA team returned after scrutinizing the documents. It is being reported that the NIA team has sent a message related to the YouTuber to his family members that they should come to the Chandigarh NIA office. As per information received, the NIA team had raided the place because of YouTuber Sukhbir Singh's chat and conversation with Pakistani Gangster Shahzad Bhatti.
