In a major action against the Islamic State (IS) modules, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday carried out searches at ten locations in Delhi, Kerala and Karnataka. The raids were linked to a new case registered by the probe agency just 48 hours ago. An NIA source said that the multiple agency sleuths are carrying out searches at seven locations in Delhi, Karnataka and Kerala.

For some time a group of 6 to 7 persons were being monitored by the intel agencies which led to the case being filed. 

In Delhi, the searches are being carried out in the Jafrabad area, another NIA team is searching two locations in Bengaluru.

The source further said that the agency sleuths are also carrying out searches at four locations in Kerala's Kochi and Kunoor.

The source said that the premises of the people being searched belong to educated people, who have been allegedly radicalised by the IS groups. Sources also said Pakistan is directly targeting impressionable Muslim youth through social media and recruiting them, training them online and inciting them to plan local attacks.

So far, five people have been arrested in the raids, further questioning is going on. 

The source, however, refused to share more details.
