Hockey Punjab's president and prominent businessman Nitin Kohli has been appointed Vice President of Hockey India. The decision regarding this was taken during the important meeting of Hockey India's executive body, which took place in Trivandrum. Hockey India's General Secretary Bhola Nath Singh has said that hockey in Punjab has developed extensively in the past under the leadership of Nitin Kohli.
Hockey Punjab successfully conducted Junior National Hockey Championship at Jalandhar last year and Hockey Punjab won Gold medals in Junior and Senior National Hockey Championships. Nitin Kohli has been unanimously appointed Vice President during Hockey India's executive body meeting in view of his efforts. Nitin Kohli has said on the appointment that it is a matter of pride for him that Hockey India has made him proud.
Hockey India President Olympian Doctor Dalip Tirki, Hockey India Treasurer Shekhar Manoharan, Olympian R P Singh, Olympian Balwinder Shammi, Olympian Pargat Singh congratulated on this appointment of Nitin Kohli and said that Hockey India has made Punjab proud. Hockey Punjab General Secretary Amrik Singh Pawar, Olympian Sanjeev Kumar, Office Secretary Kulbir Singh and all members of Hockey Punjab have congratulated.
