The Bombay High Court continued its hearing on the media trial in Sushant Singh Rajput's case on Friday. Previously the Bombay High Court has slammed the Republic TV for its hashtag (#ArrestRheaNow). Questioning about the questions raised by the Republic TV on Arnab and running media campaign #ArrestRheaNow, the court said, "You posted story only basis post mortem? If you are so interested in unearthing the truth, you should have looked at the CRPC! Ignorance of law is no excuse. You become the investigators and prosecutors, judges. What is the use of us then? Why are we here?"

On this Republic replied, "Did not draw any conclusions. Only trying to beseech my lords to understand why this case was not so straightforward and only because of efforts of media it led to investigations."

On Friday, the investigative agencies (CBI, ED, and NCB) were also questioned by the Bombay High Court for allegedly leaking the information in the media. At the beginning of the hearing, the bench inquired whether any submissions were sought to be made on behalf of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

In response, Additional Solicitor General Anil Singh informed the bench that the CBI, NCB, and ED had stipulated in their affidavits that information from none of the organizations was ever leaked in the ongoing investigation at any point in time. They have stated that they are aware of their responsibilities and this clarification is the sole reason why they have even been joined at necessary parties in the present case, added the ASG.
