After #ArrestYuvikaChaudhary trends on Twitter, Yuvika Chaudhary apologizes for casteist slur

After Tarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashmah’s Babita Ji, Munmun Dutta was alleged for using a casteist slur for people from Scheduled Caste in a video, now Yuvika Chaudhary has invited trouble.

In a daily vlog video, Yuvika used the word ‘Bhangi’, to describe herself as she wasn’t looking good. Later, the actress apologized for using the casteist slur and said, was not aware of the meaning of the word.

As #ArrestYuvikaChaudhary trended on Twitter, the actress issued an apology, and wrote, “Hi guys, I didn’t know the actual meaning of the word that I used in my last vlog. I didn’t want to hurt anyone and I can never do that to hurt someone I apologize to each and every one. I hope you will understand Love You All.”

Later the micro-blogging application was flooded with hashtags and the netizens were furious. Watch here:


Some of them supported Yuvika and tried to explain the exact meaning of the word.

Yuvika made her debut in Bollywood in Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Om Shanti Om’. She was also featured in movies – ‘Summer 2007’ and ‘Toh Baat Pakki!’.

She was a part of a reality show Bigg Boss season 9, where she met her present husband, Prince Narula. Prince and Yuvika tied a knot on October 12, 2018.
