Ten newpositive cases of Omicron have been recorded in the Capital of the country,taking the total to 20. Delhi's first Omicron positive case was reported onDecember 5.
Maharashtrawith 32 omicron variant cases, is the state with the highest number of Covidcases. Karnataka reported 5 new cases on Thursday, while Telangana reportedfour cases and Gujarat a single case of this highly spread variant.
The cases in Delhi were confirmed by the HealthMinister Satyendar Jain. He also said that 10 of them have been discharged.
India hasbeen recording cases consecutively for the past four days. The fast-spreadingvariant has affected 11 states and Union territories so far.

Governmenthas already given guidelines over to the states to control the spread. Instant testingis being performed on international airports. The positive reported travelershave been quarantined as per the guidelines.
