Guru Nanak Dev University has postponed the examinations to be held on June 6 in all its colleges.
According to the orders issued by Guru Nanak Dev University, all annual and semester examinations scheduled for June 6 have been postponed due to administrative reasons. All these theory examinations will now be held in the examination centers as per the earlier scheduled time on Friday, June 20. All information related to this will be available on the Students' University website.
Police took out a flag march
At the same time, the police is continuously carrying out flag marches in view of security. Last evening too, the police took out a flag march in the area around the Golden Temple in Amritsar. Dal Khalsa has also announced to take out "Ghallughara March" this evening, which will pass through various markets of the city and end at Shri Akal Takht.
Exhibition organized in Golden Temple
Photographs of Operation Blue Star in 1984 are displayed in the Golden Temple. A temporary gallery has been constructed here, where photographs taken during the operation and the damage caused to the Golden Temple are also shown. SGPC says that this exhibition has been organized to provide information about the attack on the Golden Temple in 1984 to the people.

Police force on alert
About 4 thousand policemen will be deployed on the anniversary of Operation Blue Star, which will also include Punjab Army Police personnel. Blocks will be set up at 62 places in Amritsar. Out of which 14 checkpoints will be on the roads and around the Golden Temple. There will be 20 checkpoints within the city, 10 checkpoints on the outskirts of the city, and 10 checkpoints on the main routes into the city. Police will be deployed 24 hours at 52 checkpoints. About 40 DSP- and SP-level officers will be on surveillance.
