Oscar 2021: The one’s on-camera won’t need a face mask

Since 2020 everything happening is something no one has ever seen before and that tradition continues in 2021 also. Well, the Oscar event for 2021 will also be something you have never seen. Like every year the Academy Awards will be held as an in-person show. However, there are a number of changes made in the event in order to abide by the COVID-19 protocols. There will be new measures on how to conduct the whole event and how to allow celebrities to safely attend the award show.

Keeping in mind the Covid surge wearing a mask is the basic protocol one needs to follow when stepping out of the house. The Academy has announced particular mask etiquettes for the event. As per the report of Variety in a zoom meeting with Academy nominees and representatives the Oscar team informed everyone that masks won’t be necessary for those people who will be on camera. But for those who won’t be on camera wearing a mask will be mandatory and also during the commercial breaks it will be mandatory for everyone to their masks on.

Not just this the Academy made sure that regular Temperature check will be done and the attendees are required to undergo at least three Covid tests ahead of the ceremony. For the red carpet interviews, it has been decided that a minimum seven feet distance will be maintained between the reporters and the celebrities.

Earlier it was said that attendees might be rotated in and out of the event ceremony to keep the venue capacity restricted to 170 guests only. The Academy awards 2021 are all prepared and planned to be held on 23 April at Dolby Theatre, Union Station Los Angeles, California.
