Like every year theAcademy Awards will be held as an in-person show. However, there are a number ofchanges made in the event in order to abide by the COVID-19 protocols. Therewill be new measures on how to conduct the whole event and how to allowcelebrities to safely attend the award show.

Keeping in mind the Covid surge wearing a mask is the basicprotocol one needs to follow when stepping out of the house. The Academy hasannounced particular mask etiquettes for the event. As per the report ofVariety in a zoom meeting with Academy nominees and representatives the Oscar teaminformed everyone that masks won’t be necessary for those people who will be oncamera. But for those who won’t be on camera wearing a mask will be mandatory andalso during the commercial breaks it will be mandatory for everyone to theirmasks on.

Not just this the Academy made sure that regular Temperaturecheck will be done and the attendees are required to undergo at least threeCovid tests ahead of the ceremony. For the red carpet interviews, it has beendecided that a minimum seven feet distance will be maintained between thereporters and the celebrities.

Earlier it was said that attendees might be rotated in and outof the event ceremony to keep the venue capacity restricted to 170 guests only.The Academy awards 2021 are all prepared and planned to be held on 23 April atDolby Theatre, Union Station Los Angeles, California.
