Pappan Singh Gehlot is among the COVID heroes whose story inspired people in what is termed to be the biggest misery of the century which saw the beginning with a nationwide lockdown during the 1st wave of COVID has been found dead.

The body of Pappan was found hanging at a temple in Delhi. Pappan’s inspirational story is linked to the display of his kindness and generosity when he spent Rs, 68,000 to get flight tickets for his laborers that too at the height of the COVID pandemic.

Pappan was seen as the national hero for his noble gesture. However, this 55-year-old hero is no more among us. He has left a death note in which he has cited his illness as the reason behind his extreme step.

The police have launched an investigation into the matter, prima facie the incident is seen as a suicide, however, with investigations the police will figure out whether any different angle is involved in the case or not.

The Delhi-based farmer was hailed even by the Bollywood star Madhuri Dixit for his generous efforts in sending his workers back to their homes in Bihar.
