The investigation report of the delivery case that happened on the floor at the Pathankot Civil Hospital in Punjab has been submitted to the minister of health, Chetan Singh Jauramajra. A four-person medical team was formed to look into the matter. Health Minister Chetan Jauramajra said that due to the busyness of Dussehra, further action could not be taken. He said that action will be taken soon on this issue.

According to the investigative report, the medical personnel on duty was negligent since they did not follow the medical protocol. Instead of referring the victim to Amritsar because of excessive labor pain, prompt arrangements could have been made in the hospital itself, however, this was not done.

Health Minister Chetan Singh Jauramajra has said that action cannot be taken due to the busyness of Dussehra, but he can take action on Thursday. It is expected that the on-duty medical staff would be subject to punishment, but the Health Minister has stated that he will reveal this information once he has reviewed the investigation report.

A 4-member investigation team led by Dr. Rajkumar, including the medical staff on duty, examined the victim's husband and medical reports. On the night of the event, Sweeper, Staff Nurse Outsource Kanchan, Medical Officer Dr. Ankita, Oncall Gynecologist Dr. Byoma, Ward Attendant Asha, and Staff Nurse Outsource Kanchan were on duty in the labor room. According to MO Dr. Ankita, when the victim came to the hospital after having labor pain, she did not have a blood test or ultrasound. Due to this, the victim was not admitted but instead was directed to Amritsar by the on-call duty gynecologist.
