Chandigarh, February 24: To extend the secondary andtertiary healthcare services under ‘AB-Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojna’, the process ofgenerating e-cards is in full swing in all districts in which DistrictPathankot has topped in Punjab by covering the highest number of eligiblefamilies. It was disclosed here today in press communiqué by CEO, State HealthAgency, Mr. Amit Kumar.   

Giving further details he said that e-cards are beinggenerated at Common Service Centres, Market Committees of Mandi Board and SewaKendras and to ensure e-cards to be issued to all eligible beneficiaries, theState Government has observed the "Ek hafte di vishesh muhim"-22ndFeb. to 28th Feb. He said that 49,41,952 e-cards have been issued to thebeneficiaries till date. 

Revealing further, he said that the treatment under thisScheme had been commenced from 20th August 2019 and more than 5,71,924 patientsacross the Stae had been admitted at Public and Private hospitals and providedcashless treatment worth Rs. 638.60 crores.

To ensure the medical benefits at all empanelled hospitals,he said that 'Beneficiary Feedback Portal' has been launched for obtainingfeedback from all beneficiaries who take treatment under the Scheme, via calls,messages, and online feedback forms. So far, 95% of the beneficiaries havereported that they are satisfied with the services provided to them under theScheme.

He divulged that 5 categories namely Smart Ration cardholders, Small Traders, J-form holder farmers, Small and Marginal farmers andAccredited and Yellow card holder Journalists are covered to extend cashlesstreatments.

Mr. Amit Kumar said that this Scheme does not discriminateon the basis of the number, age or gender of the family members and that allthe members of the family are included for access to free in-patient healthservices.  The main objective of theScheme is to provide free health services to the people so that the economicburden on people for treatment can be reduced.
