Patiala Police Attach Property Worth Rs. 1.20 Crore of Two POs

Divulging the details, Mr. Vikram Jeet Duggal IPS, SSP Patiala said that a special drive has been launched by the Patiala Police to attach the immovable property of the fugitive criminals in various cases

Acting tough against the proclaimed offenders, Patiala Police today attached the immovable property worth Rs 1.20 Crore of two criminals under section 83 of CrPC, declared PO by the Court.

Divulging the details, Mr. Vikram Jeet Duggal IPS, SSP Patiala said that a special drive has been launched by the Patiala Police to attach the immovable property of the fugitive criminals in various cases by contacting the Revenue Department. Proceeding in a case with FIR No. 85 dated 22.05.2020 U/S 302,148,149, 506 IPC and 25/54/59 Arms Act registered at PS Anaj Mandi Patiala, in which both the accused Kanwar Randeep Singh alias SK Kharoud S/o Sukhmel Singh resident of village Baran in district Patiala and Jatinder Shergill S/o Gurmel Singh resident of village Khansian, Sanour, Patiala were declared PO by the Area Magistrate on November 23, 2020, further warrant of attachment were issued by the Court on 18.01.2021 to the concerned revenue officer. It may also be worth mention here that the culprit Kanwar Randeep Singh alias SK Kharoud is already having several FIRs registered against him in Patiala.

Mr. Duggal further said that working on the directions of SP City, Patiala and DSP City-2, Patiala, Station House Officer PS Anaj Mandi Patiala got property details of both POs from Revenue Department Patiala and got attached the property under section 83 of CrPC as per the orders of the court. He said that property mesauring 05 Bigha, 01 Biswa situated in village Khansian, Sanour in the name of Jatinder Shergill S/o Gurmel Singh and 01 Bigha, 05 Biswa in the name of P.O. Kanwar Randeep Singh alias S.K Kharoud's in village Baran, District Patiala, have been attached. The property of these two fugitives attached as per the order of Court has the value around Rs. 01.20 Crore. He added that Patiala Police is also working upon to attach the property of the other Pos across the district. Issuing a stern warning to the wanted criminals, Mr Duggal asked them to surrender; otherwise their immovable properties will be attached as per the further course of law.
