Budget 2020: PM Modi appeals to opposition to have a fruitful discussion on budget

PM Modi interacted with the media and said that  “This is the first session of 2020. This is also the first Parliament session of this decade. All of us should strive towards ensuring a bright future for the decade and give it a solid foundation. This session will be focussed mainly on economic issues. I want that in both houses there are good debates on these issues.”

With India going through an economic slowdown and millions of job loss, parliament session on budget started on 31 January. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is all set to present the final budget on 1st February 2020. 

However, before the budget session, PM Modi interacted with the media and said that  “This is the first session of 2020. This is also the first Parliament session of this decade. All of us should strive towards ensuring a bright future for the decade and give it a solid foundation. This session will be focussed mainly on economic issues. I want that in both houses there are good debates on these issues.”
