Chandigarh:Persistence meetings are going on in Punjab Congress. Officially the meeting is called tostrengthen the organization, but internal politics of Congress is discussedinside matter. Congress President NavjotSidhu took part in the special session of the Vidhan Sabha in Chandigarh onFriday. After this he directly reachedthe official house of General Secretary MLA Pargat Singh.
He isalso having a meeting with the Executive President Kuljit Nagra, Sangat SinghGiljian and Sukhwinder Danny. However,in relation to what the meeting has been kept, no leader is saying anythingabout it. As per sources, it might beconducted in connection with the formation of the organization.
It is interestingto note that the district level organization of Congress has been dissolved inPunjab for a long time. Because of this,the party leaders at the grassroots level are neither getting leadership norare they getting united. Now even aftergetting a setback from the high command, we are trying to strengthen the provenorganization so that through this unity, we can dominate the high commandthrough it.
Apartfrom this, the post of new district head of Jalandhar was also discussed. It should be noted that Navjot Sidh hasalready got a setback from the Congress high command. The high command had ignored CaptainAmarinder Singh's displeasure for making Sidhu the head.
Afterthis, Pargat Singh, a close aide of Sidhu, raised questions on Punjab Congressin-charge Harish Rawat. After this Sidhureached Delhi on the day when Harish Rawat was meeting Captain in Punjab. However, Sidhu did not get time to meetPriyanka Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. He hadto return from Delhi.
