Prakash-Jha Aashram Aashram-Legal-Notice

Veteran director Prakash Jha had to face the heat of social media after he denied getting any legal notice from Karni Sena. Various reports suggested that filmmaker Prakash Jha's web series, Aashram, was served a legal notice for allegedly hurting Hindu sentiments.

Report stated that the legal notice was sent to the OTT platform MX Player, which streams the show, as well as producer-director Jha, on the ground of "directly targeting the ancient tradition, custom, culture of Hindu, Ashramas Dharma". The notice was sent by Surjeet Singh, Pradesh Sangathan Mahamantri of Karni Sena.

However, Prakash Jhan denied getting any legal notice. In an interview with a web-portal Bollywoodlife.com, he said, "I am also not sure who had sent that notice. First, we came to know that someone sent it, then later the same people said, 'No sir, we did not send it, someone else sent it as fake news."

"Prior to the release, everyone likes to say their own things, but after the release, they all get to know that I've said nothing against Hinduism. So, please don't thrust me into any controversy as four and a half million people have seen this. So, I don't know what else to say. The public can clearly see and tell that there's nothing of the sort in the show. Yes, everybody has a right to put their point of view in the public domain, and everyone is welcome, there's no harm," added Prakash Jha.

Following this, the people on social media started slamming Prakash Jha:
