PSPCL achieves record power supply of 3029 lakh units on June 25: A Venu Prasad

He said that PSPCL will continue to stay committed to providing reliable and quality power supply along with a superior customer services in Punjab.

Punjab state power corporation limited has successfully catered  the  historical record of power supply of 3029 lakh units and also touched  maximum demand of 13,161 MW on June 25,2021.This was disclosed by PSPCL CMD A Venu Prasad in prèss note here today.

While sharing details Shri A.Venu Prasad  said that  the previous record of power supply was 3018 lakh units on 2nd July, 2020. He said that PSPCL has purchased 216 lakh Units with 929 MW of power from power exchange to meet this demand. He said that PSPCL has made elaborate arrangements upto 13,700 MW of power for the state.He said that  PSPCL has provided 8 hours uninterrupted supply in all 3 times groups of agriculture consumers of all distribution zones. He also added that additional power supply was provided  to AP consumers yesterday as compensation for the power effected due to outages. He said that even  more than 8 hours supply was provided to  Amritsar, Sangrur, Bathinda and Faridkot districts.

He said that power  consumers can also directly contact zonal control rooms in order to update the status of power supply position and to redress complaints of the consumers special control rooms have been setup at the zonal levels round the clock.

In a message, PSPCL CMD  A Venu Prasad has appealed to  PSPCL’s agitating employees  to call off their protest in the larger interest of the farmers and power consumers of Punjab  in the COVID pandemic. He said that PSPCL will continue to stay committed to providing reliable and quality power supply along with a superior customer services in Punjab.
