Punjab Cabinet finalised, five of Captain’s close aides to lose ministerial berth

 After hectic lobbying and meetings with Congress High Command, Punjab CM Charanjit Channi has finally decided the names of new cabinet ministers.  Punjab CM is expected to meet the Governor this afternoon, and the formal announcement will be made soon.


As per information, five of Captain Amarinder’s close aides were dropped from the cabinet.


The ministers who were reportedly dropped include Sunder Sham Arora, Balbir Singh Sidhu, Sadhu Singh Dharamsot, Rana Gurmit Sodhi and Gurpreet Singh Kangar.


Meanwhile, Manpreet Singh Badal, Tripat Rajinder Singh Bajwa, Aruna Chaudhary, Razia Sultana, Sukhbinder Singh Sarkaria, Vijay Inder Singla, Bharat Bhushan Ashu and Tript Rajinder Bajwa are the ministers in the cabinet of newly appointed Punjab CM.


Besides, Pargat Singh, Raj Kumar Verka, Gurkirat Singh Kotli, Sangat Singh Gilzian, Amarinder Singh Raja Warring and Kuljit Singh Nagra are among the new faces to be inducted.


It is being learnt that the new batch of ministers have been finalised considering social engineering and caste combinations as Punjab will go for polls in few months.

Moreover, sources say former PPCC President Sunil Jakhar has played a key role in finalizing the list of new ministers.
