The village of Dinda Sansian in Punjab’s Dinanagar has been completely sealed off after dead bodies of 3 unidentified youths were found. The area has been cordoned off, and a search operation is underway. The search operation is being carried out under the guidance of Police SP (District). No one is allowed to enter or exit the village, including media personnel.
The three unidentified dead bodies are in police custody. The police is currently awaiting post-mortem before taking any further action. The village Sarpanch however, claims that there is an excessive amount of drugs being distributed in the village, which is likely to be the cause of death of these individuals.
DSP Sukhwinder Pal Singh, Dinanagar, informs that the police has been conducting a thorough search of the area near where the dead bodies were found since yesterday. So far, no illegal or narcotic substance has been recovered. Those suspected of distributing the drugs are currently being interrogated.
The bodies are in police custody and are currently awaiting post-mortem investigation.
