Indian National Congress released its list of candidates for Punjab Assembly Elections 2022 on January 15. It includes the names of candidates to be contesting for 86 seats. CM Charanjit Singh Channi will contest elections from Chamkaur Sahib SC, whereas State Chief Navjot Singh Sidhu will contest elections from Amritsar East.

The second list of Congress candidates in Punjab will come today. In this 31 candidates will be announced.

According to sources, sitting MLA Satkar Kaur from Ferozepur Dehati, Nirmal Singh from Shutrana, Sukhpal Bhullar from Khemkaran and Tarsem DC ticket from Attari might not contest elections this year from Congress party.

The Banga seat is under the eye of Chief Secretary Husan Lal and Congress's Tirlochan Singh. Apart from this, MLA from Shri Hargobindpur Balwinder Ladi can be given ticket.

There has been a ruckus in Congress regarding the Batala seat in these seats. Navjot Sidhu wants to give a ticket to Hindu face Ashwani Shekhari from here. At the same time, Minister Tript Rajinder Bajwa is seeking a ticket for himself or his relative.
