Punjab is all set for elections to take place on 20th February. Shiromani Akali Dal leader Bikram Majithia has filed his nominations from Majitha as well as Amritsar East. Majithia, who has been booked under a drugs smuggling case has got permission from the court to file nominations and contest elections.

PPCC President Navjot Singh Sidhu is also contesting elections from Amritsar East. On Saturday, he has released a statement in which he said that if Bikram Majithia has guts he should drop his nominations from Majitha and contest only from Amritsar East.

Once close friends, they are now political enemies. The poll fight has become a clash of two titans -- sitting legislator and Congress state Chief Navjot Singh Sidhu versus Bikram Singh Majithia, one of the most powerful Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leaders.

The Sidhu-Majithia duo has had heated exchanges on several occasions in the Assembly. The fight between the two will be worth seeing during Punjab Elections 2022.
