Punjab govt to permanent 36,000 contractual employees: Sub-committee sought data from departments

There is good news for Punjab's 36,000 contract-based workers. The process has begun under the leadership of the CM Bhagwant Mann-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government. For this, the government has formed a sub-committee. The committee has sought contractual employees' data from all departments.

Simultaneously, discussions are also taking place with these employees' organizations. Finance Minister Harpal Cheema, the committee's head, confirmed this and stated that his committee is working faster on this.

He further said that he has held two meetings. Before the elections, the Aam Aadmi Party Convenor Arvind Kejriwal, and CM Bhagwant Mann made this commitment. We will make such a policy and act in such a way that 100% of employees can be confirmed. The committee will meet again on Tuesday.
