Punjab government allows liquor and other shops to open till 15th May

The Punjab state government under the leadership of ChiefMinster Captain Amarinder Singh has released the latest update to the lockdown inthe state till 15^th May.

Shops selling essential items were already exempt.

And now, four more businesses have been permitted, but onlyfrom Monday through Friday till 5 pm.

These are:

·       Shops selling fertilizers, seed, insecticides, pesticides,agriculture machinery, agriculture / horticulture implements, etc.

·       Kirana and grocery shops including PDS shops.

·       Retail and wholesale liquor vends (but ahatasnot to open).

·       Shops selling industrial materials, hardware items,tools, motors, pipes, etc.

Further, free movement of people on foot of bicycle forpermissible purposes is allowed.

For motorised traffic, valid identity cards, or e-passarranged in advance and displayed are required.
