In a significant multi-agency operation in the United States, 8 Punjab-origin suspects have been arrested in connection with a gang-related kidnapping and torture case in San Joaquin County. The coordinated takedown was carried out on July 11, 2025, as part of the FBI’s 'Summer Heat' initiative to dismantle violent criminal networks in the US.
As per the official release, the arrested individuals are- Dilpreet Singh, Arshpreet Singh, Amritpal Singh, Vishal (no name given), Pavittar Singh, Gurtaj Singh, Manpreet Randhawa, Sarabjit Singh.
The operation was led by the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s AGNET Unit, in collaboration with Stockton Police Department SWAT, Manteca Police Department SWAT, Stanislaus County Sheriff’s SWAT, and the FBI SWAT Team. A total of 5 search warrants were executed across various locations in San Joaquin County in connection with an ongoing investigation into kidnapping, torture, and gang-related violence.
All have been booked under- Kidnapping, Torture, False Imprisonment, Criminal Conspiracy, Witness Intimidation, Assault with a Semiautomatic Firearm, Terroristic Threats, and Felony Gang Enhancements.

- Illegal Possession of an Assault Weapon
- Manufacture/Sale of High-Capacity Magazines
- Manufacturing a Short-Barreled Rifle
- Carrying a Loaded, Unregistered Handgun
