Unemployed candidates started a campaign to give offer letters to the selected candidates in the Punjab Police recruitment

After registering a landslide victory in the Punjab Assembly elections, Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) Chief Minister-designate Bhagwant Mann and his Cabinet is all set to serve the public. People of Punjab have high hopes from the Aam Aadmi Party. The Aam Aadmi Party during its election campaigns promised the end of unemployment and wipe out drug mafia and sand mafia from the state.

With the oath-taking ceremony of the new CM of Punjab people are expecting the fulfillment of these promises as soon as possible. Adding to it, the candidates selected in the Punjab Police Constable recruitment, which took place last year in Congress time, start a campaign demanding their offer letters from Mann’s government.

#punjab_police_constable_Joining started trending on social media, especially on Twitter. The candidates who passed the written and physical examination started the hashtag. They are sharing the messages on social media with this hashtag. They are also tagging the new CM Bhagwant Mann, Aam Aadmi Party convener Arwind Kejriwal and other big leaders from AAP in the messages. 

A total of 4 Lakh 70 thousand applied for the post of 4358 police constables. The written examination of the recruitment was held in December 2021. After which the physical test of the passing candidates took place in January this year. But before the joining of the police, the Punjab Assembly elections were announced and the whole process stopped.

Now as the elections are over and the new Government is formed in the state, the youth is urging the Government to issue their appointment letters. AAP won a landslide victory in Punjab, winning 92 seats in the 117-seat Punjab Assembly and decimating incumbent Congress. Mr. Mann won by nearly 60,000 votes in the Dhuri assembly constituency in the Sangrur district.
