The India Meteorological Department (IMD) of Chandigarh unit on Tuesday made a new weather forecast and prediction for Punjab. For the past few days, Punjab has got a slight relief from continuous heatwaves and soaring temperatures due to isolated rainfall. Notably, IMD Chandigarh has predicted this before, and it turned out to be true. Now, the weather department has issued a new prediction in which it has put multiple districts of Punjab on thunderstorm alert for the next 5 days starting from today. - June 17- Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahr, Rupnagar, Ludhiana, Mohali, Fatehgarh Sahib, Patiala, Sangrur, Barnala, Mansa, and Bathinda
- June 18- Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahr, Rupnagar, Mohali, Fatehgarh Sahib, and Patiala
- June 19- Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahr, Rupnagar, Mohali, Fatehgarh Sahib, and Patiala

Punjab Temperature
Daytime temperature in Punjab has reduced significantly in the past few days. Once, almost every district of Punjab was registering above 40°C. Now, Punjab's weather conditions have changed. As per IMD Chandigarh's daily temperature briefing, Amritsar and Gurdaspur were the hottest districts on June 16 at 37.5°C. Ludhiana- 37°C, Patiala- 35.6°C, Pathankot- 37.1°C, Bathinda- 36°C, Faridkot- 34.5°C, Hoshiarpur- 34.5°C, etc.
