An M.A. student named Arshdeep of Sangrur’s Bhawanigarh from Chandigarh-based Punjab University has been arrested on the charges of terror funding by the State Special Operation Cell (SSOC).

The arrest was made based on secret inputs. The team has revealed that Arshdeep is an associate of Lakhbir Singh Landa sitting abroad and Goldy Brar, a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

Apart from this, ISI henchmen sitting abroad were sending money to the PU student Arshdeep's bank account. The arrest of the accused has been done on the basis of his bank account credentials. He has been produced in court and taken on remand for three days. The accused was receiving funding from a sleeper cell operative of Pakistan’s spy agency ISI based in Dubai, America, the Philippines, Italy, and Malaysia, and happens to be a native of Punjab.

SSOC will check the bank accounts. It will also be investigated how much funding has been done in his account so far and where has he used that funding. It is also learned that he was in touch with Goldy Brar and Lakhbir Landa for a long time. Lakhbir Landa is lodged under police records and is the main accused of getting the RPG fired at the office of the Punjab Intelligence Department in Mohali.
