After back-to-back days of scorching heat and an intense heatwave, Punjab is all set to get major respite with almost four days of rainfall. On Wednesday, the Chandigarh unit of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted that multiple Punjab districts will witness thunderstorms along with gusty winds for at least four days starting from May 1, 2025. Almost every district of Punjab was witnessing sweltering heat with maximum temperatures continuously exceeding the 40°C mark. It means people of Punjab will finally get the respite from the heatwave.
IMD Prediction on Punjab Rainfall from May 1
IMD Chandigarh has predicted that multiple districts of Punjab will witness thunderstorms from May 1 to May 4, 2025. Below is a list of cities/districts of Punjab that will receive rainfall starting from today (May 1)-
