Punjabi & Kashmiri students clash in Jalandhar’s CT Institute pelting stones, bricks; watch VIDEO

There was fierce clash between Kashmiri and Punjabi students inside the CT Institute campus during which both sides threw bricks, stones and chairs at each other.

A dispute broke out between Kashmiri and Punjabi students on Friday inside the CT Institute campus in Shahpur, Jalandhar, Punjab. In light of this, CT Institute administration has suspended 14 students. Meanwhile, the city police is investigating the matter. The CCTV cameras installed inside the CT Institute have been sought by the police. Police will take action against any student seen in CCTV inciting violence. At present, action is being taken by the institute.

 

According to information, a Kashmiri student was allegedly taunted and molested by a Punjabi student. The girl complained about this to the college committee, but the committee did not take any action. After which the same student molested the girl again. This time the matter reached the students who had come to study from Kashmir and after that the matter got heated up.

 

Meanwhile, Punjabis students say that the allegations made by Kashmiri students are wrong. But the said Kashmiri students made derogatory comments on their turban and removed their turban. After this, the dispute escalated.
