A horrifying and heart-wrenching incident has come to light from Australia, where a Punjabi resident named Gaurav Kundi was brutally assaulted by police officials. According to the preliminary information, the police allegedly threw him on the ground and pressed his neck with their knees. This attack by officials injured Gaurav, and he reportedly fainted on the spot.
The incident was recorded by Gaurav’s wife, Amritpal Kaur, who was standing nearby and was witnessing this brutal act by the police. In the video recorded by Amrtipal, Gaurav can be heard saying, “I have not done anything wrong,” and his wife was also continuously pleading to the officers, but they did not stop and continued to harass him.
Gaurav’s wife has informed us that his situation is extremely critical. He is in a coma state and has been acquiring medical treatment at Adelaide’s Royal Hospital. As per the doctors, he has faced immense severe damage.
But why did office officials attack Gaurav?
Notably, this incident took place on May 29, Thursday at Payneham Road in Adelaide’s Eastern Suburbs. Amritpal highlighted that Gaurav was drunk, and the couple was having a verbal debate over something. Gaurav’s voice was loud, but she also clarified that they were not fighting.
However, amid this, police arrived and considered it as a case of domestic violence.
She also mentioned that police officials first held him, pressed him, and then hit his head on the ground, following which they put there on his neck, which resulted in injuries, and eventually, Gaurav fainted.
Gaurav is currently in a severely critical situation and has been seeking medical treatment in the ICU at Adelaide’s Royal Hospital. Doctors have outlined that his brain is totally damaged, and he will only recover if his brain starts working. Otherwise, the situation will worsen.
Gaurav lives in Australia with his wife and two children.

The police have shared a statement in which they have mentioned that the policemen acted as per the training given to them and also assured that an internal investigation has begun and the case will be properly examined.
Along with this, the police Commissioner also expressed the fear of his death and expressed, “We hope he will get well soon and will start showing some recovery signs.”
