Accompanied by family members, the Congress Chief Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday filed nomination for the ensuing Lok Sabha Elections. Accompanied by UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi, sister and Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and brother-in-law Robert Vadra, filed the nomination post a massive road show.

In addition to Amethi, the Congress President will be contesting the Lok Sabha Elections from Kerala Wayanad. Rahul decision to contest from Wayanad had amassed huge criticism from BJP and the CPI(M). The 48-year-old filed his nomination from Wayanad on April 4. Talking about Amethi, Congress President Rahul Gandhi will be in a faceoff with Smriti Irani.

Rahul Gandhi Property

Rahul Gandhi in an affidavit filed in his nomination from Wayanad disclosed about the details regarding the property that he owns. Rahul Gandhi is the owner of two commercial spaces in Gurugram worth Rs 8,75,70,000. He jointly owns an agricultural land with Priyanka Gandhi. Ironically, Rahul Gandhi doesn’t own a car. His assets have also risen from Rs 9.4 crore in 2014 to Rs 15.88 crore. 

Rahul Gandhi's affidavit also disclosed that he owns an amount of Rs 72,01,904 to various banks. Interestingly, he also owes Rs 5,00,000 to his mother Sonia Gandhi.
