On Camera: Railway employee caught duping passenger by exchanging Rs. 500 note with Rs. 20; Video Viral, Watch

The incident caught the attention of senior officials in the railways who have initiated action against the employee

A shocking video of a railway employee deputed at the reservation counter is immensely going viral which showcases his attempt of duping a passenger who asks for a ticket for a superfast train for Gwalior.

The video shows the passenger handing an Rs. 500 note to the employee who takes his hand swiftly below the counter and replaces it with an Rs. 20 note.

Soon after receiving it, he confirms twice which ticket is he (the passenger) asking for which the latter replies saying, “Superfast Gwalior.” Hearing to which the employee says, “Rs. 125.”

However, the act has already been recorded going viral on the net, which is said to be coming from Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station. The clip has been shared by a Twitter handle by name Rail Whispers.

While filing this news the video has been seen by close to 2 lakh people and even reached to the attention of Railway Seva and Delhi Division, Northern Railway (DRM Delhi NR). Responding to the post, concerned railway authorities said, "The employee has been taken up and disciplinary proceedings have been initiated against him.”

The video has also gathered a wide level of response from users on the web and commenting by sharing their personal experiences associated with the incident. One user wrote, "This has happened to me multiple times in Chennai. The unionized hooliganism of some Railway employees gives them the courage to indulge in such crimes."

While the other user wrote, "Dangerous, the first time I have seen such magic, m thinking, If he have not recorded the clip then what would happen? Shame on such people who cheat n grab others hard earned money. Disgusted totally.”

Apart from these, there were many who commented demanding strict action against the employee and asking for direct intervention from the senior railway officials in order to ensure that such kind of cases must be averted in the days to come.
