Amarinder Singh Raja Warring assumed office as the new Punjab Congress Chief on Friday. Acting President Bharat Bhushan Ashu also took oath with him.

Former PPCC chief Sunil Jakhar was missing from the event. Navjot Singh Sidhu, who has been sulking after he was removed as chief, briefly attended the induction ceremony. Navjot Sidhu reached Punjab Congress Bhawan in Chandigarh with his supporters. But, he did not share the stage with Raja Warring.

However, apart from former CM Charanjit Channi, all senior leaders including Pratap Bajwa were present on the occasion.

On this occasion, Amarinder Singh Raja Warring said that if there is no discipline in any party or business, it cannot progress. For success, it is very important to handle the work with dedication. Being the head does not mean that one should act voluntarily. Interaction and teamwork with peers is extremely important.
