After a not-so-appealing stint at the box office, Akshay Kumar starrer RakshaBandhan is set to take on the web space on October 5th on Zee5.

The family drama with Akshay Kumar at the center managed to accumulate a bland 61.61 crore in the entire time frame of its stay at the box office.

Released alongside Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha, which was a Hollywood remake of Tom Hanks’ Forrest Gump, also failed miserably against the huge aspirations of Aamir Khan.

Both these films were released at a time the two big shots embattled the boycott by people from different pockets of the country. Akshay plays Lala Kedarnath in the family drama, who runs a chaat shop where his specialty is water pancakes for pregnant women who want a male child.

Lala Kedarnath has four sisters and proceeds with a principle aim to arrange dowry for their weddings, even if it means selling his kidney.
