And I found that so powerful because she was talking about the movie and the performance, but it really resonated for me too, that I know myself and I am the evidence. I don't need to catalog what he said on this day and how that went down. I know what my experience was, and I'm the evidence, and that's enough."

Anna revealed more about her abusive relationship while talking LA Times. She clarified that although her ex-boyfriend never hit her physically she was indeed afraid that he will one day. "Well, he never hit me, and I’m not really afraid that he’s going to hit me. How do I discern between normal conflict and abuse? Why is my body in so much fear all of the time? Why do I wake up feeling like he’s in bed next to me and wondering, ‘OK, do I have 30 seconds before I start performing or … ?’” said Anna Kendrick.
