DB Cooper: Where Are You?! real story

On November 24, 1971, the USA witnessed one of its most sensational yet mysterious crimes when a man in a dark business suit and dark sunglasses asked a flight attendant for $200,000 and four parachutes. In fact, it has been 51 years, the DB Cooper case remains the only unsolved skyjacking in the history of commercial air travel.

Going through the archives and various media reports, on November 24, 1971, a man (description mentioned above) boarded a Northwest Orient Airlines flight traveling from Portland International Airport to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport under the name Dan Cooper. The US-bound flight was about to land when the man handed over a note to the Airhostess saying that he had a bomb on the plane.  Cooper demanded $200,000 in extortion and four parachutes.

The air hostess named Tina Mucklow then requested Cooper to actually show her the bomb to confirm he is not pulling out a cheap prank. Then Dan Cooper showed him his briefcase he was fairly holding on in which the air hostess saw eight red cylinders, which she assumed to be dynamite. Not only this, but Cooper also explained to the air hostess how the bomb will work.

TIna handed over the note to the flight captain and told him what exactly was going on. Then the Captain informed to the ATC (Air Traffic Control). The boss of the plane company agreed to sanction and bend the knee to the demands of Cooper on the condition that he will not harm any of the staff and passengers. After the plane landed for the exchange of money, 2 passengers and two flight attendants were allowed to leave and D.B Cooper was given the cash and parachutes.

Cooper then demanded to be flown to Mexico City at the minimum speed of the plane with rear exit open. 20 minutes after the plane took off, Cooper jumped out of the plane with the extorted money and parachute. Since then, Dan Cooper was never found by the FBI and other investigative agencies till now. While many believe that Cooper survived the jump as neither his body nor his parachute was found. However, few reports suggest that he might have died due to age-related problems.
