Is The Kerala Story a true story?

The answer is yes. Keeping aside the fact checkers and agenda-driven reporting, The Kerala Story is a true story of Hindu and Christian girls in Kerala who were first trapped into love jihad by Islamists and were later sent to Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan to become ISIS terrorists. The Kerala Story will be released on 5th May 2023 in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam language. Going by the trailer, The Kerala Story starts with Shalini Unnikrishnan a Hindu woman played by Adah Sharma who is seemingly living with her four other friends. The trailer shows how one of Adah's friend is an ISIS recruiter and how she brainwashes other girls into embracing Islam. Not only this, Shalini's friend who is an ISIS recruiter in disguise also helps her find a Muslim boy who turns out to be married her for Love Jihad and ultimately recruit them into ISIS. The trailer looks intense when there is a dialogue in which the ISIS recruiter asks 'Which God do you believe in' and Adah replies, Lord Shiva. Listening to this, the ISIS recruiter says 'Lord Shiva who cried for his wife inconsolably, how can he be a God? There is only God and that is Allah'. Cutting long things short, The Kerala Story is all set to become new talk of the town and in the upcoming days it will not be surprising if the movie faces criticism from many sections.

What is The Kerela Story real story?

Coming back to the real story, In 2021 in an interview with Citti Media, Sudipto Sen stated that he reached the numbers of 32,000 forced conversion of Hindu and Christian girls in Kerala based on his conversation with former Chief Minister of the State Oommen Chandy. As per Sen, Oommen Chandy had stated that "every year approximately 2,800 to 3,200 girls were taking up Islam" and so, it worked up to 32,000 in 10 years. Although AltNews had called it fake, but when the Taliban took over Afghanistan, it was reported that 4 Indian women were lodged in Afghan jail.

Later it was reported that they had gone to Afghanistan to join ISIS. To be precise, the four Indian women lodged in an Afghanistan prison had accompanied their husbands to join the Islamic State in Khorasan Province (ISKP). Although their parents requested the Government of India for their freedom and bring them back to India, they were not allowed and were left in an Afghan prison.
