People of Portugal living in the small town of Sao Lorenco de Bairro were shocked after witnessing an unusual sight of a 'river of red wine'. Yes! you heard it right. An unusual sight of red wine flooding the streets of Sao Lorenco de Bairro was witnessed on Sunday. As per Porteguese local media reports, 600,000 gallons of red wine swept across streets of Portugal town after two tanks owned by Levira Distillery were spilled. Now, Portugal's red wine river video is spreading like wildfire on social media and netizens are in utter shock after witnessing the bizarre incident. Notably, Sao Lorenco de Bairro is a small town of Portugal with a population of 2,000.

As per Local media, the red wine river did not cause any injuries. However, it caused material damage, as the red liquid flooded nearby roads, land, and entered at least one cellar. Furthermore, it was reported that the spillage triggered a local environmental alert as the Anadia Fire Department made efforts to divert the wine to prevent the contamination of the nearby Certima River. It is pertinent to mention here that Levira Distillery issued an apology for the incident and said the company would take care of the damages.

Levira Distillery in its apology said, "We assume full responsibility for the costs associated with cleaning and repairing the damage, having teams do so immediately..We are committed to resolving this situation as quickly as possible." The company further stated that the soil soaked with wine will be taken to a special treatment plant.
