
Punjab’srelentless efforts to fight the raging second wave of Covid-19 suffered a blowafter four Doctors (MD medicine) have tendered their resignation from theBathinda Civil Hospital.
Itis learnt that all the four doctors were rendering their services at the forefrontto contain the spread. From detecting to diagnosing covid19 patients in thedistrict, the doctors have been on their toes helping the administration tocontrol the transmission.
Thoughthe doctors have citied personal issues and nothing related to covid19 as the reason behind resigning, sourcesat the Civil Hospital Bathinda said that poor covid management, shortage ofoxygen and vaccine supply, are the major reasons why doctors have been feelingstressed up.
Meanwhile,Civil Surgeon Bathinda Dr Tejwant Singh Dhillon termed the development quiteunfortunate and said as the state is reeling under severe covid crisis; thedoctors must restrain themselves from taking such steps as it’s the time when theirservices are required the most.
