With the second wave of Covid-19 in India getting bigger and bigger, the health infrastructure of the country is deteriorating. India is falling short of oxygen, vaccine, ventilator beds, and other medicines. In view of this actress Priyanka Chopra has recently set up a fundraiser to generate more funds for the country’s crisis. Priyanka Chopra Jonas along with her husband Nick Jonas have set up a fundraiser ‘Together for India’ and ever since then have been urging their fans to contribute. Joining them Irina Shayk and Reese Witherspoon have also come in support of PCJ’s fundraiser.
She has appealed to her fans to help amplify and also contribute in whichever way they feel comfortable.
Reese recently took to her Instagram account to share Priyanka Chopra’s video message requesting people to join hands to help India and pull the nation out of this pandemic. she further went on to explain the current stressed situation in India. While sharing the fundraiser details Reese writes, “ what is happening in India with COVID is an urgent situation. Please help if you can”.

Apart from the Big Little Lies actress author Jay Shetty has also made an appeal for help. Hollywood celebrities including Shawn Mendes, Richard Madden, Kunal Nayyar, Mindy Kaling and Ellen Degeneres have pledged their support to help India in the pandemic crisis. Hollywood singer Shawn Mendes shared a heartwarming video in India’s support and said, “ if you’ve ever been touched by India’s culture of India’s people, just donate or share or anything you can do to help”.
