Chandigarh, February 16: State Election Commission, Punjab(SEC) today ordered to conduct re-poll of 2 polling booths of Ward no. 10 ofMunicipal Corporation SAS NAGAR. Re-polling would be held on February 17, 2021.
Informing this here today, an official spokesperson of SECsaid that the Commission has got report from Sub Divisional Magistrate-cum-Returning Officers (RO) SAS NAGAR through Deputy Commissioner-cum-DistrictElection Officer SAS Nagar in which they reported irregularities during pollingand urged for re-polling in booth no. 32 and 33 of ward no. 10.
Spokesperson further said that taking serious note of this;the Commission has announced to nullify the earlier polling conducted in thesebooths and ordered to re-poll on February 17, 2021 from 08.00 am to 04.00 pm inthese 2 booths
He said that now counting for entire Municipal CorporationSAS Nagar will take place on February 18, 2021 from 9:00 AM.
