In a major development, amid the border tensions between India and Pakistan, India has recently responded to the Pahalgam terror attack by destroying at least nine terror camps of the neighboring country.
Following this attack, Himanshu Narwal, who is the wife of Navy officer Lieutenant Vinay Narwal, killed during the terror attack on April 22, has expressed gratitude towards the government of India for such a military response. However, she has also urged that the operations against Pakistan and terrorism should not stop here.
She was recently interviewed by the PTI, during which she outlined that her husband was very dedicated to his vision of a terror-free and peaceful India.
In an emotional video message, she could be quoted as saying, “My husband wanted to protect peace and innocent lives. He wanted a country free from hatred and terrorism. I am thankful to the government, but I request that they not end it here. This should be just the beginning of ending terrorism in our country.”
His attack was also addressed by Vinay Narwal’s mother, Asha Narwal, who has also thanked the government of India for its response against the terror attack, which killed around 26 people who were enjoying their holidays in Jammu and Kashmir. While having a conversation with the local reporters in Karnal, she mentioned, “It is a very good thing that (Prime Minister) Modi has avenged the Pahalgam attack. We are with the government. The entire family and the country stand with them.”
Furthermore, she appealed to the government to be firmer against such incidents so that they are not repeated.
