In the Ryan Grantham case, British Columbia Supreme Court Justice Kathleen Ker observed the 'life-shattering' impact of the crime on victim's loved ones, especially Grantham's sister. Justice Kathleen further stated that Ryan's 'saving grace' was that he was aware of what he did and didn't go on a spree. Keeping Ryan Grantham's mental health into consideration, the judge noted that the Riverdale actor was having difficulties weeks before he shot down his own mother point-blank as he was surfing the dark web and was watching violent videos.
Ryan Grantham's lawyer, the Riverdale actor is not shocked at the sentence he got. It is pertinent to mention here that Ker also made reference to Grantham's "diminutive" size and said she wouldn't recommend for him to go to a maximum security prison. Ryan Grantham was 21 when he shot his mother in the head as she played piano.
