In a startling turn of events, even sacred and religious grounds are not safe from heinous acts of petty thievery. In some harrowing news from Phillaur, a Gurudwara was targeted by a petty robber. The miscreant reportedly escaped with money from the Gurudwara’s donation box. He also swiped a gas cylinder from the religious premises. The entire incident was caught on CCTV.
It can be seen in the video that the thief is taking out money from the ‘golak’ (donation box) and keeping it aside. After collecting the money, the thief also took a cylinder from there. The incident was promptly reported to police. The police reached the spot and started investigating the matter.
Police say that CCTV footage has been captured and the accused will be arrested soon.
