In a proud moment for India, SS Rajamouli's RRR's dance song Naatu Naatu won the Oscars 2023 in the Best Original Song category. Naatu Naatu scripted history at the Oscars 2023 as it was the first Indian song which was nominated in the Best Original Song category at the Academy Awards. Music composer M.M. Keeravaani and Lyricist Chandrabose received the prestigious Oscar Award 2023 and sang a hilarious song mentioning India and SS Rajamouli on the stage. Before this, Deepika Padukone arrived at the stage in a separate segment to announce Naatu Naatu's live performance.

Deepika described Naatu Naatu, ""An irresistibly catchy chorus, electrifying beats, and killer dance move to match have made this song a global sensation. It plays during a pivotal scene in RRR, a movie about the real-life friendship between Indian revolutionaries Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem...It is also a total banger." Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava performed RRR song Naatu Naatu with a group of background dancers and set the stage on fire."
