So far in Punjab, out of 142 IPS officers, 14 have gone on central deputation. But, now around more than a dozen of IAS officers want to go on deputation. It is believed that they are not satisfied with the Punjab government's working system.

Recently DGP VK Bhawra of Punjab has gone on leave, and he has applied for deputation in the center. Earlier, a woman IAS officer also resigned from her post. Amrit Kaur Gill, a female IAS official in Punjab, has asked the government for permission for premature retirement. She has submitted an application for the Volunteer Retirement Scheme (VRS). As per the service rule, she has given 3 months’ notice to the government. She also resigned as the Managing Director of Punjab State Civil Supplies Corporation Limited (PUNSAP).

Recently, two incidents came to the fore in which Aam Aadmi Party's MLAs were seen misbehaving. MLA from Jalandhar West, Sheetal Angural had a heated argument with ADC Amit Sareen. After which the videos of the argument also got viral on social media.

In the second incident, Punjab's Health Minister Chetan Singh Jauramajra humiliated Baba Faid Medical Hospital's VC Dr. Raj Bahadur by lying him on a dirty bed. After which VC resigned from his post. Dr. Rajiv Devgan, Principal of Government Medical College, Amritsar, and Dr. KD Singh, Medical Superintendent of Guru Nanak Hospital, have sent their resignations to the government too.
