After Gujran village of Dirba, now poisonous liquor has wreaked havoc, claiming 4 more lives in Sunam too. As per reports, 4 people have succumbed to the poisonous liquor and the condition of about a dozen people being critical who have been admitted to different hospitals for treatment.

 

It is being told that the poisonous liquor which took the lives of nine of the Gujjar community has now wreaked havoc in Sunam. The deceased have been identified Gyan Singh, resident of Jakhepal Lachcha Singh, Gurmeet Singh and Budh Singh, residents of Sunam Tibbi Ravidas Pura.

 

The condition of Darshan Singh, Rafi Nath, Lachhman Singh remains critical and they have been admitted to various hospitals for treatment. Gurumeet Singh died on Thursday. As soon as the information about the incident was received, DSP Mandeep Singh Sandhu along with his teams reached Tibbi Ravidas Pura Basti. Police searched the spot and during this they also found some bottles of poisonous liquor. It is being told that the brand of these bottles is similar to the liquor obtained from the Gujjars.

 

DSP Mandeep Singh Sandhu informs that the matter is being investigated. Health department teams have also reached the colony in order to investigate. Meanwhile, the heirs of the deceased have demanded strict action against those involved in the business of spurious liquor.
