Indian-origin MP in Scotland recites Sikh prayer before taking oath

Scottish Indian Pam Gosal recited "Mool Mantar" in Scottish parliament before taking the oath for member of Scottish parliament (MSP)

India has always been a variant in their own and Indians always amaze people from rest of the world with their different kind of thinking and efforts. In yet another praise worthy move, an Indian-origin woman in Scotland who has been recently elected as the member of Scottish Parliament, recited sikh prayer before taking oath. 

Besides, she is the first Indian MSP (Member of Scottish parliament). Pam Gosal is the member of Scotish Conservative Politician party and functioning as member of Scottish Parliament since May 2021. Pam Gosal is the first sikh woman serving in scottish goverment. 

She recited the sikh prayer 'Mool Mantar' in front of the members of the Scottish parliament. After taking the oath she added that she will serve the state with honesty, dedication and sincere efforts. Ms Gosal is also the director of Conservative Friends of India Scotland (CFIS). This organisation seeks to build stronger links between the Conservative Party and the British Indian community in Scotland.She also added that she'll work accoding to the laws and make the place peaceful.

She also tweeted that its an honour for me to be the first MSP from the Indian background and beloning to a Sikh family and reciting the prayer. She is very thankful for the support and love she got from people. Pam Gosal also added that she'll back to work soon. Pam Gosal is getting viral for the oath which she has got hold in Punjabi and English languages in parliament.

Pam Gosal was born in Glasgow, Scotland. She helped run her family business before working in Local Government prior to be being elected to the Scottish Parliament.She took her oath in Punjabi as well as English.
