See reason for phone call before you pick the phone – but is it free?

If you have ever been harassed by spam calls, whether commercialor personal, you must have heard of the mobile app Truecaller. The app is free (containsadvertisements) and automatically identifies most of the numbers calling you.The app uses Internet connection to promptly get the caller id i.e. who iscalling.

Users of the app were not satisfied though. Decreasingattention span and an increasingly hectic lifestyle do not allow for leisurephone calls with most people.

To complicate the matters, sometimes, even a near and dearone may be calling at an inopportune time.

Truecaller has given birth to a new feature – Call Reason.

The only requirements for the facility to work are that bothparties have Truecaller installed and Internet connection.

The caller will have the option to set a reason for calling,and the company anticipates that this feature is expected to increase pick uprates, especially when callers are calling from new numbers.

To make the deal sweeter, the feature will be free, and willbe available to all users in an upcoming release.
