The function of the royal wedding of Bollywood star couple Siddharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani began in the super luxury Jaisalmer-based resort Suryagarh Palace. Reports say that Sidharth and Kiara’s Mehndi ceremony is scheduled today.
The palace and its staff have started welcoming the guests invited to the couple’s royal wedding, among the celebrities invited are Karan Johar and actor Shahid Kapoor have reached the wedding venue earlier today.
The ceremonies involved in the couple’s dream wedding are scheduled to take place from the 5th to the 7th of February, earlier it was said that the wedding will be taking place on the 6th of February, however, as per the latest reports it has surfaced that the couple will now tie the knot on February 7th.
Siddharth and Kiara are staying at the Thar Haveli built in the hotel itself. The hotel consists of two mansions. Each mansion has three rooms, a swimming pool, and a dining room. In these, Kiara is staying in one mansion, while Siddharth has occupied the nearby mansion.
The hotel has a haveli built with Jaisalmer yellow stone and carvings. One speciality of the haveli is that its ceiling is completely made of wood. This keeps it warm in winter and cool in summer.
It is built in the area behind the hotel, where the natural feel comes from. This is the favourite place of celebrities to stay here. Here food is also served in copper utensils, which gives the royalty feel.
Guests were welcomed with Rajasthani traditions:
The arrival of guests for the wedding has already started. The guests who reached Jaisalmer were welcomed as per the Rajasthani tradition. Folk artists stood outside and inside the hotel wearing turbans. The guests were ushered into the sound of shehnai and dancing.

Siddharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani reached their wedding destination separately on Saturday. Kiara arrived in the morning with her mother Genevieve Jaffrey-father Jai Jagdeep Advani, and grandmother, fashion designer Manish Malhotra. All had come from Mumbai to Jaisalmer in an Ambani's private plane. At the same time, Siddharth came from Delhi with his family late at 8 pm.
Singer Ankit Tiwari also reached Jaisalmer airport among the wedding guests. Who will be performing at the Desert Festival. Once seeing them, even the security engaged in Kiara and Sid's wedding got confused. Ankit told- I have not come for marriage. Have come for the Desert Festival.
