In Punjab, the internal strife of Congress leaders has come to the fore once again. Navjot Singh Sidhu, former president of Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee, has targeted former CM Charanjit Singh Channi.

Sidhu blamed Charanjit Singh Channi for the mafia rule spread in the state.

Navjot Sidhu said, "The head will keep coming and going but the institution is supreme. Congress lost in Punjab because of 5 years of mafia rule. I kept fighting against that mafia. That fight was with the system. Some people had that business, which they were eating like termites. There was Chief Minister Involve, who left. I'm not afraid of anyone. In the last 5 years, instead of policy development, private interests dominated."

"I consider Bhagwant Mann to be younger brother. If he is honest, then fight against mafia. I will support Mann by rising above the party. Punjab will have to develop by making policies," he added.

Navjot Singh Sidhu, who has been sulking after he was removed as chief, briefly attended the induction ceremony of Raja Warring. Navjot Sidhu reached Punjab Congress Bhawan in Chandigarh with his supporters. But, he did not share the stage with Raja Warring.
